Naly’s Floral Shop

We are Tou Lor and Naly Jasengnou, proud owners of Naly’s Floral Shop. For the past eight years, we have been honored to serve Madison and the surrounding communities with beautiful floral designs.

As a full-service flower shop, we specialize in weddings, funerals, and everyday celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries. We also create custom centerpieces for corporate events and provide holiday gifts for businesses. Our services include local delivery to homes, hospitals, and offices.

Our journey began at the Dane County Farmers Market, where we managed a stand before opening our storefront inside the Northgate Shopping Center. That experience rooted our passion for flowers and community, leading us to where we are today.

To us, flowers are more than arrangements—they spread love, joy, and comfort. Our goal is to design pieces that leave a lasting impression during life’s celebrations and bring solace during difficult times.

Sweet Basil MKE

Sweet Basil blossomed from Vanna’s lifelong dream of owning a restaurant. While working tirelessly to support her family, she found comfort in cooking traditional family recipes but longed to share her food on a larger scale. Inspired by her passion, Vanna’s children rallied behind her vision.

Taking on multiple jobs, her kids diligently saved—from McDonald’s wages to dishwashing tips—until they were able to make her dream a reality. At just 21, 19, and 17 years old, they surprised Vanna with her very own restaurant.

Through the challenges of the pandemic and other hardships, the family poured their love and flavorful Thai and Lao recipes into Sweet Basil. Today, Vanna’s dedication as head chef remains the heart of the business she once only dreamed of. Her food not only nourishes but also carries the spirit of family, hope, and perseverance.

Designs by Aemi

Aemi Cruz is the CEO and founder of Designs by Aemi, a 3D and laser-engraved home décor and custom signage business she launched with her husband and COO, Marc Cruz. The idea was born in 2021, shortly after the couple purchased their first home in Sheboygan Falls, WI. While on maternity leave and adjusting to a new community, Aemi noticed her home lacked the cultural art and connection she grew up with. Inspired by her heritage and fueled by creativity, she began designing custom door signs that incorporated traditional Hmong elements.

What started as a personal project quickly gained traction. After sharing her work on Facebook, Aemi received overwhelming encouragement and custom requests, sparking the idea to turn her passion into a business. Towards the end of 2021, Designs by Aemi officially launched.

As the brand grew, so did its offerings. From simple door signs, the collection expanded into 3D laser-engraved family frames, cutout frames, keyholders, logo signs, and more—each piece thoughtfully designed to reflect both heritage and home. Marc hand-cuts all their wood from locally sourced materials, while Aemi applies her intricate designs. Their work gained momentum at Hmong tournaments and New Year celebrations, earning them regional recognition and a loyal customer base.

From humble beginnings in their dining room and garage, Aemi and Marc proudly expanded into their own warehouse in July 2025. Through it all, their mission has remained the same: to create meaningful décor that celebrates culture, identity, and family.
